One of the things I am asked about often is dance classes in Tunbridge Wells. With long waiting lists for some classes, and trying to find a really fun class that suits your kids, it can be a bit of a minefield.
So when I heard about Cascade Dance I was delighted to help spread the word. Cascade provide dance classes for children and young people in Tunbridge Wells on Thursdays and Saturdays as well as sessions for adults now too. Plus classes for pre-schoolers on Mondays!
Mainly held at Oakley Fitness (on Thursdays and Saturdays) and The Camden Centre (for pre-schoolers on Mondays), Cascade have run their classes for 15 years in the town providing high quality, friendly and creative dance provision.
New classes added to the Cascade Dance timetable
1.30 – 2.10pm – Creative Dance for walkers to 4 years
The class is a group dance session involving families and little ones together! The class will allow children to explore movement and themes with lots of resources to inspire! The class will adapt for all the ages, involving grownups and their children together.
You can find more details about this on our listings page.
Saturday dance classes for kids
The Saturday classes are suitable for boys and girls aged 3-5 years old. They also are a lovely combination of dance, yoga and sensory movement. These drop-in classes run on Saturday mornings. You can find more information here.
The popular Junior classes offering contemporary, ballet and street dance to ages 6 -11 years run on Saturday mornings too as well as Thursdays (for street dance).
Adult dance classes in Tunbridge Wells
And if you’re wanting to take up or continue dance yourself, have some fun and maybe make some new friends, Cascade’s adult classes are great for that – and they’re expanding too.
“Our beginner Contemporary course for adults has been really popular this autumn ” say Cascade’s Sam. “Although the current sessions are now full booked, we’ll be running regular blocks throughout the year! Our adult classes have always been popular as there is nothing else like it in the town. Teaching adults is wonderful and the pure enjoyment they receive from moving their bodies is infectious!”

As well as contemporary, street and ballet classes, Cascade has an acro class that’s soon to launch. The acro class is for young people aged 6 – 17 of all abilities, running on a Saturday at Oakley Fitness. This sounds amazing and completely different to most other classes in town.
