ad. One of Tunbridge Wells’ most popular outdoor events is returning to Calverley Grounds this July, with five days of films, live sport, family activities, food and entertainment planned in the heart of the town.
RTW Together BID is once again bringing back both FilmZone and FanZone, transforming Calverley Grounds into an outdoor cinema from 8–10 July before welcoming thousands of tennis fans for the Wimbledon Finals Weekend on 11 and 12 July.
With a packed programme of blockbuster films, family favourites and live Wimbledon coverage on a giant outdoor screen, organisers are encouraging visitors to plan ahead and book FilmZone tickets early.

FilmZone Returns to Calverley Grounds
There’s something undeniably special about watching a film outdoors in the centre of our beautiful town. Calverley Grounds becomes an open-air cinema experience unlike anywhere else in Kent.
This year’s FilmZone programme offers a mix of action, comedy, romance and family favourites, making it the perfect excuse to gather friends, organise a family outing or enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars.
The programme begins on Wednesday 8 July with one of the year’s most anticipated releases, Superman (2025), before serving up a tennis-themed double bill with Wimbledon on Thursday afternoon ahead of the Championships finals weekend.
Comedy fans can enjoy the much-loved British classic Hot Fuzz, while families can look forward to Ratatouille on Friday afternoon before the event closes with the feel-good singalong favourite Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

FilmZone Schedule
Wednesday 8 July
- 8pm – Superman (2025)
Thursday 9 July
- 4.30pm – Wimbledon
- 8pm – Hot Fuzz
Friday 10 July
- Morning toddler screening (film to be announced)
- 4.30pm – Ratatouille
- 8pm – Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults and £8 for concessions, with a special £4 ticket price for the toddler screening. Visitors can bring blankets and chairs, while a limited number of bookable deck chairs will also be available.
Given the popularity of previous years and the broad appeal of this year’s programme, early booking is strongly recommended, particularly for the evening screenings.
FilmZone is sponsored by CooperBurnett and delivered in partnership with Trinity Theatre.

Wimbledon FanZone Finals Weekend Is Back
After three days of movies, attention turns to Centre Court.
The RTW Together BID FanZone returns on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July, giving visitors the chance to watch the Wimbledon finals live on a giant 6m x 3.5m outdoor screen.
Inspired by Murray Mound and Henman Hill, Calverley Grounds’ own “Royal Ridge” has become one of the most enjoyable places in the town to watch major sporting events, attracting families, tennis fans and visitors of all ages.
Best of all, entry is completely free.
Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, camping chairs and refreshments before settling in to enjoy every serve, rally and championship point in a relaxed festival atmosphere.

More Than Just Tennis
The FanZone is about far more than simply watching the action on screen.
Throughout the weekend there will be a variety of free activities taking place around the grounds, including:
- Simply Sports Pickleball
- Hot Shotz Family Tennis
- Play With A Pro sessions
- Garden Games
- Natural Fit Sports Day challenges
- Nando’s Wheel of Fortune
- Face painting
Food and drink vendors including Manor House and Taste Wells will also be on site, helping visitors make a full day of the event.

A Highlight of the July Calendar
Whether you’re planning a family day out, a relaxed evening with friends or somewhere special to watch the Wimbledon finals, Calverley Grounds will be the place to be from 8–12 July.
With FilmZone tickets expected to be in high demand and limited deck chair availability, those wanting the best seats are encouraged to book ahead as soon as possible.
