Kent College Pembury is a leading co-educational independent day and boarding school located near Tunbridge Wells providing a dynamic, inspiring learning environment for pupils aged 2-18. Grounded in Methodist values, we empower every student to grow in confidence, build resilience, and discover purpose in every aspect of their lives. The school is an inclusive, gently selective school with a broad ability range and pride themselves in knowing each and every student.

Set in seventy-five acres of woodland, the school is a beautiful setting in which to learn with outstanding facilities including a science block, art centre, 210 seat theatre, music school, 25m swimming pool, library, two sports halls, an all-weather astro pitch, tennis, courts, netball courts, fitness suite, outdoor assault course, dance studio, Sixth Form centre and boarding house.

The school underwent a full inspection by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in June 2023 and was found to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas. The report said, “Pupils are highly confident and well prepared for the next stage of their lives.” ISI 2023.

Forest Explorers Nursery welcomes children from the term in which they turn 2, and offers wraparound care from 7.30am to 7.30pm which is free to 5.30pm. The nursery has a woodland themed indoor space, large outdoor play areas, an expansive Forest School, a mud kitchen, and plenty of space for building dens and exploring. With a blended approach to learning inside the classroom and outside, all linked to the Early Years Curriculum, this ensures that children develop a wide range of skills and a real love of the outdoors.

The nursery is run by highly qualified and experienced staff who support the children in every aspect of their development, ensuring their happiness, wellbeing and progress. Children have specialist teachers for PE, French, Music, Drama and Dance.

Kent College Prep School welcomes children from Reception to Year 6 into a warm and close-knit community where every child is known, valued and supported as an individual. Small class sizes mean strong relationships are built between staff, pupils and families, creating a secure and encouraging environment in which children can grow in confidence.

Learning is thoughtfully tailored to each child, ensuring their interests are nurtured and their potential fully realised. A broad and stimulating curriculum inspires curiosity, complemented by regular outdoor learning that brings lessons to life. Beyond the classroom, children are encouraged to explore their talents through a wide range of opportunities, from performing in productions and concerts to competing in sport. At the heart of the Prep School is a belief in helping every child discover what they love, build self-assurance, and develop a genuine enthusiasm for learning that will stay with them for years to come.

Kent College Senior School is for students aged 11 to 18 and will be fully co-educational from September 2026. We pride ourselves on knowing every student as an individual, recognising that each brings their own strengths and ambitions. Through a combination of strong pastoral care, high expectations and a focus on resilience, we empower students to grow in confidence and achieve excellent outcomes. Whatever their talents, whether they are academic, creative or sporting, students benefit from an environment rich in opportunity, where they are supported, challenged and championed to thrive.
