Is scoliosis defining your life? Pain that drains you of energy, and makes it hard to exercise? Or do you feel stuck because what you’ve tried hasn’t worked, or worry you’re too old to improve?

Elongation: to bring your spine to midline
Breathing: so you open the areas of the ribs and lungs constrained by scoliosis
De-rotation: using comfortable wedges to assist you
Strengthening: so you maintain your improved alignment in daily life
You don’t need to be fit, or have experience with Pilates to start. It’s gentle and accessible to all. Young or mature, braced or unbraced, fused or unfused, you can do Scolio-Pilates®. Your instructor Olivia, of Pilates with Olivia (in Tunbridge Wells), is one of very few authorised Scolio-Pilates® practitioners in the UK.
Getting started is easy:
Book an initial consultation:
This is a 90-minute session to understand your curves and design a bespoke programme for you. We discuss your fitness and health goals and assess your curves (through simple, standard assessments) and your x-ray, if you have one.
You will also learn introductory exercises to practise at home. You can book and schedule the initial consultation at: https://www.pilatesolivia.
Ongoing sessions:
Your time in the week for exercise that’s entirely specific to your scoliosis. Working out on Pilates equipment (including Refomer), wall bars, and comfortable scoliosis wedges, you bring your spine towards midline, then strengthen it in this position. Sessions are a process, and your Scolio-Pilates® practice improves and refines over time. The exercises feel very good in the body!
It’s time to understand your spine and make a plan to live without pain.
