A School with purpose
ad. Tonbridge School is renowned globally for nurturing creativity and intellectual curiosity in boys. Guided by our motto ‘Only Connect’ we develop fine minds and good hearts through an education that balances academic ambition with character and service.
Our rich co-curricular programme encourages boys to explore new interests, grow in confidence and build a strong sense of community.
Boys join in Year 9 often from our prep school, The New Beacon, in Sevenoaks which provides a coeducational nursery from 2-4 years and a prep school education for boys aged 4-13 years.

Find out more at an Open Morning
Visiting in person is one of the best ways to discover whether a school feels right. Families are warmly invited to our upcoming Open Mornings on Saturday 6 June and Tuesday 23 June which will provide the opportunity to explore the campus and meet Headmaster, James Priory, boys and staff.

Looking to the future
“The question is no longer ‘Where do our pupils go at 18?’ but ‘Who will they be, and where will they be, at 25 and beyond?’”
This has prompted us to develop our THINK 25 approach. Through inspiring teaching, excellent pastoral care and a breadth of opportunities, we support our boys to be curious, resilient and ready to contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
Outcomes are exceptional, with most boys progressing to leading global universities, including those ranked in the top 100 worldwide, read more here.

Explore from home
Our Virtual Tour offers a wonderful opportunity to explore our 150-acre campus, bringing our rich heritage and vibrant daily life into view. You can step inside and experience the School as our boys do each day, inspiring, dynamic and full of possibility.
New for 2026
This summer marks the launch of our new IMPACT Summer Programme, a co-educational residential and day Programme for students aged 13-17.
The IMPACT Summer Programme aims to broaden attendees’ knowledge, experiences, worldview, and sense of agency. Students can achieve these outcomes by selecting modules that best meet their interests within the context of new and emerging industries.
The programme combines unique business-led challenges, personal development sessions, and Hackathons, alongside enriching experiences both on and off campus. By the end of the programme, students will have greater self-knowledge, clarity regarding their chosen direction, and the confidence to take their next steps.
