Penshurst is one of my favourite villages close to Tunbridge Wells with the Farmers’ Market taking place tomorrow (Saturdy 4 April) and Penshurst Place’s Easter Extravaganza starting today (Friday 3 April), Penshurst is the perfect place to take the kids for a family day out.
The Penshurst Farmers’ Market is from 9.30am to 12 noon tomorrow, Saturday 4 April. This year’s April market promises to offer an abundance of family Easter fun with plenty to keep the children entertained. There will be an Easter trail, adorable Easter bunnies on sale, with a chance to win a tasty prize, and a fun craft activity where children can decorate an egg to take home all of these activities are free of charge!
I will be buying my family season ticket for Penshurst Place this weekend so we can take part in their upcoming Easter activities and enjoy the sunshine in the adventure playground this summer.
Penshurst Place will be open from 10.30am to 6pm from today to 16 April and craft activities will be taking place from noon to 4pm. Easter activities include Cupcake Creations, Easter and medieval-themed crafts, storytelling and an Easter trail.
Storytelling will take place on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday from 2pm by fantastic storytellers, Aardvark Productions this year, they will be performing a special selection of Easter and medieval themed stories. Three showings per day will be performed in the Buttery from 2pm.
A Spring Cupcake Workshop will be taking place on Friday 17 April from 10.30am to 12.30pm. A chef will be hosting a masterclass in cupcake decorating in the Medieval Buttery. Children will get 6 scrumptious cakes to ice and design with the help of the chef, who will have a few patterns on hand for them to follow. Afterwards, the kids will get to carry them home in their own presentation box. Parents and guardians are encouraged to join in the fun! Suitable for children aged 8 and above, tickets are £16 per child.
