Father Christmas Kent & East Sussex – As we move through October there’s one thing we won’t be cancelling this year and that’s Christmas. We are all in need of a joyous end to 2020 and now is definitely the time to book your trip to see the big man.
If you’re wondering where to visit Father Christmas in Kent and East Sussex we have put a list together of the top places that Santa can be found near to Tunbridge Wells this festive season.

Please note there are a few ‘wild cards’ in here that aren’t in Kent and East Sussex but are close enough to Tunbridge Wells to be able to do a day trip there.

Bluewater are offering a brand new immersive festive experience, Believe. Brimming with uplifting fun-filled festive twists that all the family will enjoy, tickets are on sale now.
♥ Bocketts Farm
Bocketts Farm are pleased to announce that Father Christmas will be returning this year. They haven’t released any info yet but have advised people to sign up to their email newsletter to receive all the details and ticket release dates.
♥ Calverley Grounds
Father Christmas and his friendly elves will be welcoming families in his cosy Log cabin at the terrific Tunbridge Wells Ice Rink between Saturday 28th November and Thursday 24th December 2020. This year Father Christmas is offering three other options for you to book; a home visit, a street visit or a Zoom call. Spaces are very limited now so you’ll need to be quick. ♥ Chessington Garden Centre
This was recommended by several readers last year. Chessington Garden Centre Wonderland Experience transports you to a magical land full of festive cheer. The visit will conclude with a personal visit with Santa and a very special sneak peek into his toy workshop where you will be able to choose your very own Christmas gift. Also on offer are SEND sessions. At these sessions, they will close to the general public and allow customers with special educational needs or disabilities to access the amazing Wonderland and have a great time.

♥ Drusillas Park
Drusillas invite you to visit Santa in his cosy Christmas Cottage, meet their lovable husky dogs in the husky ice cave, sample some festive food and marvel at their giant Christmas tree. We really enjoyed our visit there last year.
♥ Hever Castle
Hever Castle are giving visitors the opportunity to become Peter Pan and chase your shadow through Neverland to experience the wonders of never growing old. Nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like a visit to Father Christmas at Hever. Their website has detailed info with availability dates.
♥ Kent and East Sussex Railway
Tickets for the Santa Specials on the Kent and East Sussex Railway have just gone on sale! The experience for 2020 includes a Steam Train Ride for 70 minute return journey, a complimentary refreshment pack for each family to enjoy during the journey, age-appropriate presents for all children 11 and under, a magician providing on-board entertainment, free rides on the vintage gallopers on-site at Tenterden a free photograph of your family group and a visit to the station’s Christmas model village. As well as meeting Father Christmas of course!
♥ Kent Life
Father Christmas will be taking time out of his busy schedule to stop off at Kent Life on selected dates between 29th November and 24th December. Meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto and take home a special gift. There’s also the opportunity to decorate some festive gingerbread. The farmyard friends love a visit during December too.
♥ Lapland UK
Lapland UK has rave reviews and a section on their website dedicated to reviews from famous visitors! Lapland UK is an original adaptation of the Father Christmas Story brought to life through a 4 hour immersive experience and, of course, a visit to see Father Christmas. It does sound really magical but with December dates starting at a minimum of £89 per person it’s not going to be within everyone’s budget this year (including mine!).
Somewhere a bit different to see Santa?
Legoland looks slightly different this year. Whilst Father Christmas won’t be able to invite anyone into his Grotto due to social distancing, visitors will be able to see him as he makes his way through the park on his very own magical sleigh. Don’t forget to wave to his elves.
♥ Ruxley Manor Garden Centre
Ruxley Manor is pleased to announce that tickets for their Grotto will go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 14th October. In addition to meeting Father Christmas privately in his Grotto and receiving a special gift to take home, the ticket price also includes a printed photograph at the end of the experience. Don’t forget to join Mother Christmas in her kitchen to make her secret recipe of reindeer food.
♥ Spa Valley Railway
The Spa Valley Railway are now taking bookings for their Santa Special. Don’t miss the opportunity to see Santa Claus himself from the comfort of your seat whilst on board this impressive steam train. Read our Santa Specials review here!
♥ The Hop Farm
The Hop Farm invite you to meet Father Christmas up close and in person in his magical grotto experience. There is lots of festive fun to be had in the Big Red Grotto.
♥ The Reindeer Centre
The Reindeer Centre are hosting Father Christmas and his Elves to spread some much needed Christmas spirit. The reindeer will be in their usual spot in the barn and you can learn interesting facts about them and maybe feed them some food.

♥ Millbrook Garden Centre – Staplehurst
Millbrook Garden Centre are hoping to do a special story time with Santa. Keep an eye on their website over the next few weeks for further details.
♥ Penshurst Place
Penshurst Place are expected to revisit last year’s Christmas interactive, panto-style storytelling performances to get all the family joining in and having fun. Details will be released soon.
♥ Phileas Fogg’s World of Adventures
Details for seeing Santa at Phileas Fogg’s World of Adventures should be released very soon. Keep an eye on Social Media for the information as it’s released.
♥ Royal Victoria Place
We don’t have information about Royal Victoria Place this Christmas as yet but will add it in when plans have been confirmed.
A couple of other Christmas options!
Bedgebury Pinetum are putting the sparkle into Christmas. Back for a third year they will be lighting up the tree canopies with their spectacular after-dark illuminated trail. You might glimpse Father Christmas and his elf amongst the pines, spruce and first.

Tulleys Farm are delighted to introduce their Drive in Interactive Christmas Show. See their website for further details. I’m not sure that it actually includes a visit with Father Christmas but it sounds like a great day out!
