Femme Luxe Fashion Review: Loungewear

This blog post is in collaboration with Femme Luxe. As always, all thoughts are my own.

I don’t know about you, but I have become such a fan of loungewear since spending so much time at home. Once the clock hits 5pm and I don’t need to go anywhere, I change straight into something cosy for the rest of the day. So reviewing Femme Luxe’s range of grey loungewear as well as other colours has been an absolute pleasure and I’m looking forward to telling you what I thought of it…

What is Femme Luxe?

Femme Luxe is a UK based online women’s fashion brand. They aim to provide the latest trends at the most affordable prices. They offer next day delivery for orders made before midnight as well as DPD delivery on nominated days and standard delivery (2-5 working days).

At first glance, I thought that Femme Luxe might be a bit too ‘fashion forward’ for me as let’s just say, my style is pretty generic at the moment! I have gained over a stone in weight during lockdown (which I am trying to lose!) and just not feeling all that great in my clothes at the moment. However when you dig a bit deeper into the site, there are plenty of options beyond the glamour-type styles. From soft pink shackets to grey loungewear sets and mom jeans, there were plenty of options to choose from.

What did I choose to review?

I opted for four different loungewear sets which I couldn’t wait to try on! Ordering online can always be a slight risk when it comes to sizing, so I was interested to see how they would fit and was  desperate to replace my old scruffy loungewear with something new…

What did I think of the Femme Luxe Loungewear sets?

I ordered four different loungewear sets from Femme Luxe which you can read more about below….

Grey Marl Ribbed Oversized Loungewear Set – Kori

I think this grey loungewear set is my favourite out of the four items I ordered. I went for a size X/L 12-14 and it fitted well. The material felt really soft and light and the skinny joggers were the perfect length. Although it is described as ‘oversized’ the top fitted really neatly (but not in a tight way) and was a good length to wear either tucked in or out. I would be fine with answering the door in this and would perhaps even wear it out during the day too…

Lilac Hoodie & Joggers Tracksuit Set – Bellamy

Next up is a lilac hoodie and jogger set. This is so soft, snuggly and thick in texture. It is something that would have kept me cosy throughout winter. I do love loungewear with a hood to keep my head cosy!

My favourite top from each of the co ord sets is the hoodie and it’s something I would also pair up with jeans too for a casual ‘school run’ look. The joggers fitted fine but with hindsight, side pockets aren’t always so flattering on a fuller-thighed gal like me. That said, the hoodie can be worn over the tracksuit bottoms.

Navy Loungewear Tracksuit Set – Maria

I love the colour navy as an alternative to black. I read recently that the colour black can make a person look 10 years older, while navy is a much more complimentary option. This fine knit navy loungewear set is lovely.

The top could be paired with jeans too and I like this light-weight material for lounging around in Spring. This loungewear set can be a little transparent so do be careful about what underwear you are wearing. Although if you are at home, does it really matter? I ordered this in L/XL 12-14 and think the fit was true-to-size.

♥ Khaki Loungewear Tracksuit Set – Maria

This khaki loungewear tracksuit set is the same style as the navy loungewear but I ordered a size down so I could see how it fitted. I think the L/XL size is better on me (I am probably a 12 on top and 14 on the bottom) so this set will be good for when I loose my lockdown weight! I love the shade of green and feel like it is probably more ‘bottle green’ than khaki. Be careful about transparency with this one too. However it is such a lovely light-weight material for Spring and one of my favourite colours.

My overall thoughts on Femme Luxe?

I love to shop local where possible, but as a Mum of three with limited time, online shopping has been a lifesaver too. I have loved trying these loungewear sets from Femme Luxe and they have given my wardrobe a much-needed lift! Even though I’ll mostly wear them at home, I now feel just a bit more ‘put together’.

The items on the Femme Luxe site are great value and if at first glance you don’t think that it is quite your style, dig deeper into the different sections and there are bound to be things you’ll like.
