Are you or your child a Harry Potter fan?? Read on for our Harry Potter Magical Capsule review….
Something which made home-schooling a lot more fun the other day was the promise of opening a brand new Harry Potter Magical Capsule which we were given to review.
My eldest son is a huge Harry Potter fan. We have both the paperback books as well as the audio books which he listens to every time we are in the car. We don’t really have much of the memorabilia with the exception of top trumps cards, so receiving this Harry Potter magical capsule was a highlight for him!
The new Harry Potter Magical Capsules are a super way of discovering the magic of Harry Potter and a very welcome addition to the Wizarding World. The capsule comes in the shape of a Hogwart’s Crest and contains one of the much-loved characters from the Harry Potter series. Series 1 offers ten characters to collect which are listed on the collectors card.

Before you open the magical capsule…
Before you open the capsule, check the two clues to the character inside. Open compartment number 1 to reveal a heat reveal Hogwart’s Crest. This will show which house your character is in, while compartment number 2 reveals a spell name which can only be revealed when you dip the paper in water!
Once you know the Hogwart’s House and the spell name any real Harry Potter fan should be able to guess who is hidden inside the crest….
When you have opened the crest, check out the four wrapped parcels and make sure you save the biggest till last. To finally know which character you’ve got!

What did we think of the Harry Potter Magical Capsule?
We should have read up on this beforehand as we didn’t find the clues until after. When my son opened the crest, he went straight for the big Harry Potter character rather than opening the smaller parcels first. If we had known about the clues and opened the smaller parcels first, this would have definitely added to the excitement! But alas, while living life in this haphazard way at the moment, I don’t always get things right!
However he loved opening the capsule. Our character, which I’m sure you can guess from the pictures, was the lovely Hermione. She came with her beloved cat Crookshanks as well as a wand, book of spells and an ink pot with quill.
My son was delighted with it and more importantly he loved the crest! He has been keeping lots of his special trinkets in it, along with Hermione and he would like to get another Harry Potter Magical Capsule at some point soon.

Will we get another one?
For £9.99 per capsule, they aren’t the sort of thing you would buy on a whim at the corner shop, but they are a reasonably priced gift / treat that would give any Harry Potter fan great pleasure.
I’m pretty sure I’ll buy some more for him to add to his collection over the coming months and this time, we will follow the clues beforehand! I wonder who we will get?
The Harry Potter Magical Capsules are £9.99 each and available now from Kap Toys. The capsules will also be available in major toy stores and Tesco from mid-July 2020. It could be a good idea to stock up on some ahead of Christmas?
We were gifted our Harry Potter Magical Capsule in return for an honest review. As always, all opinions are our own.
