A Golden Age of Boarding at Holmewood House School

2025/6 was an exciting year for boarding at Holmewood, with an extensive refurbishment of the boarding house and the arrival of a new Head of Boarding. Bright, airy bedrooms create a home from-home feel, along with the new cinema room, modern and well-equipped common room with stunning views of the weald of Kent, and a creative room for, well, being creative in! 

Thoughtful touches such as weighted blankets, microwaveable “huggies” and structured, screen-free routines reflect Holmewood’s belief in nurturing the whole child and promoting healthy sleep habits. The school’s approach has earned recognition as a BSA Sleep Champion, setting a gold standard for 21st-century boarding.

Holmewood Nursery Open 50 Weeks A Year

From September 2026, the Holmewood Nursery is open 50 weeks of the year! ⁠

⁠Children can join our Pre-Nursery the term they turn three, enjoying Forest School, and specialist-taught Music, French, and Games during term time, with 32 acres of ground to explore.  

Outside of term time, our Nursery will continue to offer high-quality care for up to 50 weeks a year, giving families the flexibility they need.
