Celebrate 20 Years of Hospice Run Together This September

Sunday 20 September 2026 | Lower Common Cricket Ground, Tunbridge Wells

ad. There’s something truly special about hundreds of people coming together for a shared purpose. This September, one of Tunbridge Wells’ most-loved community events returns as Hospice Run celebrates its 20th anniversary – and whether you’re an experienced runner, a complete beginner or looking for a family challenge, there’s a place for everyone on the start line.

Taking place on Sunday 20 September, Hospice Run isn’t just about crossing the finish line. Every step taken helps Hospice in the Weald continue providing compassionate care and support to local people living with terminal illness, as well as those closest to them.

This year’s event also celebrates another incredible milestone, with Savills Tunbridge Wells marking 20 years as headline sponsor of Hospice Run.

Choose Your Challenge

No matter your age, fitness level or running experience, there’s a route to suit you.

  • 5k – Perfect for beginners, families or those looking for a fun challenge.
  • 10k – An ideal next step if you’re ready to push yourself a little further.
  • Half Marathon – A scenic closed-road course through the heart of Tunbridge Wells for those wanting to take on an unforgettable challenge.
  • Family Route – With no minimum age, this is a brilliant way for the whole family to get involved together.

Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply hoping to complete your first ever race, the atmosphere on the day makes every mile worthwhile.

Run for Something Bigger

Hospice Run raises vital funds for Hospice in the Weald, helping provide expert care and support for local families when they need it most.

Every runner is encouraged to raise £100, and every pound makes a real difference to local families cared for by Hospice in the Weald.

Here’s just a glimpse of the impact your fundraising could have:

  • £88 could fund a home visit from one of the Hospice’s Clinical Nurse Specialists, providing expert care and support to a patient in the comfort of their own home.
  • £90 could provide art and craft materials for patients taking part in the Hospice’s No Barriers Here course.
  • £180 could cover the cost of patient meals for an entire week.
  • £460 – something a team of five could achieve together – could fund a course of counselling sessions with one of the Hospice’s professional counsellors.
  • £1,000 – the equivalent of a team of ten each raising £100 – could provide a year’s supply of items used in the Hospice’s complementary therapy sessions.

Even better, thanks to the generous support of the Freddie Green and Family Charitable Foundation, every pound raised will be matched (up to £100,000).

That means if you raise £50, Hospice in the Weald will receive £100 to help fund vital local care.
