Something new is brewing for Tunbridge Wells… Bun Club looks set to bring breakfast buns, fresh smoothies and Bean Club coffee to town, with the promise of plenty more to come. They’re keeping the details relatively under wraps for now, so we won’t say too much but this is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Yarrow Paramount Place

Paramount Place (+ Aluna Wellbeing Club & Yarrow Restaurant)

The former ABC Cinema site is now nearing completion as Paramount Place, a new retirement community in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. The development is GORGEOUS (we have had the tour) and includes 166 retirement apartments alongside a stunning wellbeing club (Aluna) with hydrotherapy pool and spa, gym and fitness classes, plus Yarrow restaurant – a modern British restaurant where thoughtful design meets relaxed comfort and hospitality. The first residents are due to move in from at the end of the month and we’ll be reporting back on Aluna and Yarrow (which are open to all) very soon…

Expect crispy chicken, legendary chicken sandwiches, Cajun fries and biscuits when one of the UK’s fastest-growing fast food chains arrives in town.

Boundary Bar & Grill (formerly Cross Keys)

The former Cross Keys (opposite Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre and up a bit) is set to reopen as Boundary Bar & Grill following a refurbishment. The Forum – plans for an extension

There could be some exciting changes ahead for The Forum in Tunbridge Wells. The much-loved grassroots music venue has submitted plans for a new single-storey extension at the rear of the building, designed to ease congestion and improve the experience for gig-goers. Plans include more space for queuing and merchandise, expanded female toilets and an enlarged accessible toilet, as well as improvements to heating and cooling. Importantly, the extension isn’t about increasing the venue’s capacity, but creating more space and a better flow inside this iconic Tunbridge Wells venue, which has been hosting live music since 1993.

Boutique Cinema at Royal Victoria Place

The transformation of Royal Victoria Place could bring a brand-new boutique cinema to the heart of Tunbridge Wells. The proposals would give this part of RVP a more experience-led feel, creating somewhere to shop, eat, drink and enjoy an evening out. It’s still in the development stages, so there’s no opening date just yet, but this is definitely one to watch!

David Lloyd Club – Colebrooke Park
