I have had the pleasure of visiting Dubai several times in the last few years and have always marvelled at the amazing restaurants there and the hugely high quality of the international cuisine. Foodies can choose from all manner of delicacies from all over the world in Dubai – from delicious Middle Eastern Food to Chinese, Thai and Turkish plus many many more, Dubai really does offer something for everyone.
Eating out is one of my favourite things to do in Dubai. So we would like to share our top 4 fantastic places to eat out in this magical city:
Dinner in the Sky
I have wanted to visit this restaurant for so long for the pure novelty factor! Did you know it was selected by as one of the top 10 most unusual restaurants in the world? Located in Sky Dive Dubai, this really is one of the most unique dining experiences in Dubai. Dine at a table suspended by a crane 50 metres high in the sky. Just make sure your fellow diners aren’t afraid of heights!
Oooh Mediterranean cuisine is such a comfort food for me and always features on my weekly meal plans no matter where I am in the world! Amalfi is located at the West Lagoon pool and offers an al fresco dining experience.
Relax in a chilled out atmosphere by the poolside bar and restaurant and enjoy traditional, rustic cooking techniques. Choose from classic Mediterranean dishes including healthy salads and crispy wood fired pizzas. If you are looking for something laid back then you are in the right place!
Flamingo Room by Tashas
Calling diners looking for a chic experience! Flaming by tashas located at Jumeirah Al Naseem’s spectacular beach resort will be right up your street – it is one of my favourite dubai restaurants. Surrounded by views of Jumeira’s cool turtle lagoon and a backdrop of the brilliant blue Arabian Gulf, Falmingo Rooms have such a superb location and offer some sensational contemporary dishes along with the pretties cocktails too.
The menu is considered modern and includes some utterly indulgent ingredients which you absolutely must try. Make sure you sample the beef Rossini or if you are vegetarian, the mushroom and truffle tart is an absolute treat.
Gaucho was a favourite of mine when I lived in London so visiting Gaucho in Dubai is always an absolute treat too. Gaucho serves the most divine Argentinian beef in a super smart and sophisticated setting in this gorgeous city. There is always a buzzy atmosphere wether you go there for brunch, lunch or dinner.
The sleek and dark interiors are brightened with cow hide upholstered chairs, shiny silver furnishings and whacky art-deco pendant lights. It definitely add a bit of glam and makes for a fun evening out. Make sure you try the ginger red jalapeno and guacamole which is addictive but very hot and for mains, it really is tricky to choose but you’ll definitely find something to tickle your tastebuds. Yum!
