Love it or loathe it, soft play has been my saviour for many’s a morning or afternoon since having kids and I have probably visited every venue for soft play in Kent in recent years.
I have tried to choose a selection of different types of soft play settings close to Tunbridge Wells, to give you inspiration for those rainy days or when the kids just need to go and burn some energy. Hope it’s useful!
♥ Minor Mania Play Centre, Tunbridge Wells
Minor Mania is a multi-tiered soft play centre, providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment. Based just a few miles outside of Tunbridge Wells in Bells Yew Green, Minor Mania is open seven days a week from 9.30am to 6pm.
There’s a dedicated play space for the under 3’s with a fish aquarium panel, plasma panels and a smaller frame with a slide. The giant frame for older children includes air cannons, helter skelter slide, mouse holes, an Edublock area and an astra slide.
I used to spend most Mondays there before my eldest son started school and we still go along regularly for both birthday parties and general play. Entry is £4.99 for 1-3 year olds and £5.99 for 4-16 year olds. Parents/carers enter for £1. Check out the monthly membership option which is great value too.
There’s free Wifi and parking for the grownups and the cafe has plenty of hot and cold food options. Little visitors can also enjoy the great garden outside during the warmer months.

♥ Wear ‘m Out, Tonbridge – This is one of the biggest soft play places I have been to and well worth a visit. Try to go when it’s slightly quieter if you can! Weekday mornings work well if your kids haven’t yet started school. Find out more HERE.
♥ Creams Cafe in central Tunbridge Wells a small but decent soft play area. My favourite time to visit is on a weekday just after it opens (at 11am) as it’s fairly quiet and the little ones have lots of space to run around.
♥ Manic Monsters, Edenbridge – We went a birthday party at Manic Monsters a few months ago and the boys really enjoyed it. There are two main play frames and the food at the cafe is pretty good! Find out more HERE.
