ad. Mathnasium Tunbridge Wells has launched a new flexible six-week Summer Maths Programme offering primary and secondary school students the chance to build confidence, strengthen key skills and prepare for the next school year through personalised learning, maths games and flexible holiday sessions..

The programme (running between 1 July and 30 September) gives children the opportunity to continue developing their maths understanding in a fun and supportive environment throughout the summer break, with personalised learning plans tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Research shows that maths skills can decline over long school breaks if they are not regularly practised, making summer an ideal time for students to reinforce what they have learned and build confidence ahead of a new academic year.

Mark Braithwaite, Centre Director at Mathnasium Tunbridge Wells, said: “Our Summer Programme is designed to keep children engaged, motivated and progressing in a positive environment. By September, students return to school feeling more prepared, more confident and ready for the year ahead.”

The programme is suitable for children who need support catching up, keeping up or getting ahead in maths. Every student begins with a comprehensive assessment before receiving a personalised learning plan tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Mathnasium’s approach focuses on developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts rather than relying on memorisation, helping children build long-term confidence and problem-solving skills.

Alongside regular maths instruction, students can also take part in optional 30-minute Maths and Mind Games sessions. These activities use age-appropriate board games, cards and dice to reinforce practical maths concepts such as money, time and probability in an engaging and enjoyable way.

For students preparing for the 11+, Saturday sessions will include baseline assessments, dedicated Power Hours and mock examination papers, helping children build familiarity and confidence ahead of entrance exams.
