♥ Sankey’s – The Old Fish Market

Located in the heart of The Pantiles in what was the Old Fishmarket building, Sankey’s is an exclusive Champagne & Seafood bar which you simply must visit! They have a decent sized outdoor section for alfresco eating. It’s a super place to people watch while sitting in the glorious Pantiles. They specialise in oysters and shellfish and have some amazing seafood platters on the menu too.

♥ Framptons Tunbridge Wells

Located at the entrance to The Pantiles in what used to be a bank, Framptons is a good choice both for lunch and dinner. Or to just enjoy some wine, craft beers, cocktails and coffee. Downstairs is more casual, while upstairs has more of a restaurant feel, but still informal too.  Look out for their Ten Pound Tuesdays where you can get burgers, fries and a drink for just £1. Plus Happy Hours daily from 4 to 6pm.

♥ Eating House Restaurant at The Tunbridge Wells Hotel

The Eating House Restaurant at The Tunbridge Wells Hotel is beautifully decorated with a super seasonal menu. This relaxed, informal dining room has a great selection to choose from. Including English and continental breakfasts, light lunches and afternoon tea to a romantic formal dining experience. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the heart of The Pantiles, then this is a lovely option too.

♥ Hattons and The Wine Rooms

Hattons could be classed as a cafe too, but we think it deserves a mention in this blog post about the best restaurants in the Pantiles Tunbridge Wells too. Offering a daily menu of breakfast, lunch, cake and weekend brunch as well as Hattons Blend Coffee and quality teas, Hattons is really something special.

They support many small independent producers and recently opened The Wine Rooms on The Pantiles. An elegant and inviting wine and cocktail bar with over 350 varieties of wines from around the world. The Wine Rooms serve artisan cheeses, cured meats, ceviches, terrines and other simple but extremely tasty plates too.

♥ The Ragged Trousers

Pre-children, I remember having quite a few leisurely lunches on The Pantiles at The Ragged Trousers Pub and Brasserie. Although I haven’t been back there as much as I would have liked, The Ragged Trousers is great for a casual drinking and dining on our lovely Pantiles. You can’t go wrong with The Ragged Burger!

♥ La Casa Vechhia

La Casa Vecchia is a Mediterranean restaurant located at the end of the historic Pantiles. From marvellous mussels to steaming Spanish stew and sizzling steaks cooked on a hot slab, there is plenty to choose from on La Casa Vecchia’s menu. Why not Enjoy some live music upstairs in The Grey Lady afterwards too!

♥ Duke of York Pub

I remember fondly spending a snowy afternoon at the Duke of York Pub before I had children. It has such a cosy feel to it and is a good choice for casual dining in the heart of The Pantiles. The restaurant is on the first floor with attractive views over the Pantiles. A great choice if you like people watching too.

♥ Kirthon

Kirthon is a in Indian Restaurant and Takeaway. There’s a definite contemporary feel to it and it’s a good base for friends to meet up and have a meal. Perhaps as part of a night out?
