It’s almost half term!! Here are 40 Tunbridge Wells half term activities and events to keep you and your loved ones occupied. I have also includes things to do within approx 40 minutes of Tunbridge Wells to keep things varied. Hope you have a lovely week 🙂

1. Living with Birds at Hever Castle – Enjoy some family fun this half term and give a bird a home during National Nest Box Week at the fantastic Hever Castle from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February. More information here.

2. Pot-a-Plant indoor activities at the Hop Farm – Make a scarecrow plant marker, bamboo wind chime or a mini fairy garden at the Hop Farm from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February. More information here.

3. Holiday Happenings at Tunbridge Wells Museum & Art Gallery – FREE drop in sessions on from Tuesday to Friday during half term. Crafts for all ages. More information here.

4. Woolly Week at Godstone Farm – Lambs, bunnies and chicks galore and maybe even a few goat kids from Saturday 13th to Saturday 21st February. More information here.

5. Rescue Dogs are Top Dogs! Free half term activities at the Raystede Centre for animal welfare. Scheduled activities from 12 to 3pm including ‘Behind the Scenes’ kennel tour. Keep an eye out on the Facebook page here and website here for more information.

6. Rare Breeds Centre (Woodchurch) – Half term fun and frolics, whatever the weather from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February! Everyone visits for just £6.50 each. More information here.

7. Fun and Frolics at Kent Life – A fun packed week full of activities and trails at the newly reopened heritage farm from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February. More information here.

8. Ruxley Rascals Circus Craft Day from Monday 15th to Friday 19th February. Visitors can make their own clown mask, tie and hat at Ruxley Manor. Sessions are one hour and cost £4.99 per child. Book your tickets here.

9. Hotel Transylvania 2 (10am) and The Good Dinosaur (10.30am) at the Odeon Tunbridge Wells this week. Tickets are only £2.50. More information here.

10. Soft play, toys and lovely winter lunches (and cake!) at PUP Cafe for the under 5’s. Older siblings are welcome to come along too and enjoy some lunch. No entry fee for siblings 6+. More information here.

11. Stick Man trail at Bedgebury Pinetum – The Stick Man is open daily until 20th April. We visited recently and had a lovely afternoon. The playgrounds are fantastic at Bedgebury too. Read more about it here.

12. Visit the new Soft Play at St John’s Sports Centre for 0-8 year olds, daily from 10am to 6pm (timing slightly different on Saturdays and Sundays) . The cost varies depending on age. More information here.

15. Circus Zyair is taking place at the The Hop Farm from Tuesday 16th to Sunday 21st February. A colourful and action packed hour and a half show with high energy acts from all over the world, tickets can be booked here.

16. The Best of British Bugs, Beetles and Beasts at Penshurst Place (Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February).  More information here.

17. Wild Adventure Week at Groombridge Place. Bring your wellies and enjoy a day of wild adventures in the Enchanted Forest and Formal Gardens from Saturday 13th to Sunday 21st February. More information here.

18. Woodland games and lots of other exciting activities at Wilderness Wood including Builds and Bird Box and Super Shelters. Find out more here.

19. Drop-in sessions (and a great rainy day activity) at the Slap ‘n Dash Ceramics Studio on the Hawkhurst Fish Farm. Just drop in and have a go or make a day out of it by having lunch or tea at the on site cafe. More information here.

20. Half term fun for the kids at The No.6 Shop from Tuesday 16th – Friday 19th February. Your lovely little ones can enjoy 45 minute appointment including a mini manicure, using organic nail polish and Jane Iredale mineral makeup fun for £25. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Call 01892 506930 to book in.

21. Temper Temper Chocolate in Southborough has a few places left for its Monday workshop from 10am to 12 noon. Sessions are aimed at children aged 4+ and cost £15 each. Adults are welcome to watch if they wish to, but are not permitted to join in.  More information here.

22. The local Tunbridge Wells District Children’s Centres have several activities for babies and pre-school aged children taking place  from  Monday 15th to Friday 19th February including Boogy Mites, Messy Play and Sensory Explorers. I have uploaded the timetable here.

23. Cupcake Decorating for the under 5’s at PUP Cafe from 1.30 to 2.30pm. Children can decorate 4 cupcakes which they can take home in a lovely presentation box. The cost is  £7.50 and includes entry to PUP and a hot drink for Mum! More information here.

24. Hearty Hands is coming to Langton Green Village Hall from 1 to 2.30pm. The cost is £8 per child for this toddler workshop offering a range of sensory and creative activities. Find out more here.

25. Make a nature themed wind chime or a nature inspired mask at Maidstone Museum. More information here.

26. Make a monster glove puppet or an angel / pirate or other kids’ favourites at Messy Time on Camden Road in central Tunbridge Wells. Get messy with paint , glue , sticking and glitter. Open from 10am to 4pm, more information can be found here.

27. The Good Dinosaur film is showing at Trinity Theatre on both Monday and Wednesday this week at 2pm. More information here.

28. Wheels on Debussy Children’s Concert at Tonbridge School. Coffee, craft and pastries at 10am. Concert starts at 10.30am. More information here.

29. Free half term football for girls aged 5-11 years at Tunbridge Wells Foresters from 10am to 1pm.

30. T-shirt designing at Maidstone Museum. This is £3.50 per child or two for £6. More information here.

31. Snoopy & Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie is showing at Trinity Theatre at 11am and 2pm. More information here.

32. Family Work Out – Bird Feeder Building at Sherwood Lake. Kent and High Weald Partnership is hosting this free family session which is a mix of craft and outdoor activity from 10.30am to 3pm. More information here.

38. Kids for a quid on the Spa Valley Railway. Steam trains are running between Tunbridge Wells West and Groombridge. All accompanied children aged 3-16 travel for just £1. Children under 3 travel free, as do the family dog and any bicycles! More information here.

39. Fish and Chip Lunch on the Spa Valley Railway. Departing Tunbridge Wells at 1pm, treat yourself and the kids to a fish and chip lunch. Your train should be heated, so no worries about the weather outside being cold. More information here.
