Looking for the perfect gift to give a colleague who is expecting a baby?
When I worked in an office we all got very excited when someone was expecting a baby. It is such a joyous occasion and it lifted our spirits when we got an email to tell us a baby had safely arrived. Whether you’re in that office environment or part of a virtual team it is lovely to send well wishes, cards and gifts. Here are our top ideas of what to buy for a colleague who is expecting a baby…
I can’t resist buying clothing for a baby. It almost makes me broody again to buy such tiny clothes. From a practical point of view however, it’s really helpful when people buy clothing suitable for 6 months plus. To make sure what you buy is really appreciated try to find something you think they will love in a larger size so that the baby can get a lot of use from it. If not, include a gift receipt, just in case it’s a duplicate!
For something extra special why not send a luxury hamper from the gorgeous Baby Hamper Company? You can choose to create your own hamper from an amazing selection of products or choose one of a number of pre-made hampers (which you can also add products to). This wonderful company has a Feefo rating of 4.9/5 and we can see why; their products are so well considered and would be gratefully received plus they offer free luxury gift wrapping and personalised gift card.
There are some absolutely beautiful designs of muslin on the market. We love these 100% cotton large muslins from Aden and Anais. They are so versatile and can be used to swaddle a baby, to cover while feeding, for tummy time or on a changing mat. I had a set when I had my first and they were my absolute favourites.
A lunch bag
At some point in the future this is super handy for picnics or even pre-school and beyond. It’s a lovely gift and one unlikely to have already been given. I adore the Skip Hop lunch bags and they do super cute matching backpacks too. The designs are such fun; unicorns, dinosaurs, narwhals, foxes and butterflies to name but a few. They are bright, washable and hardwearing.
I absolutely love the Childs Farm products, they smell divine. They are suitable from newborn up (I still use them for my 8 and 4 year old’s), are suitable for sensitive skin and safe for people who may be prone to eczema. They make a washbag which comes with organic tangerine bubble bath and blackberry and organic apple hair & body wash making a thoughtful gift bundle.
