We are delighted to welcome Joanne Dolhanty to the Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology in central Tunbridge Wells on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th October 2018, where she will deliver a two day workshop for parents in Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST).
EFST is an innovative, ultra-simple and quickly effective parent support programme.
EFST supports parents by empowering them as active, primary agents in guiding loved ones through the behavioural, emotional and relational challenges of everyday living and relating. It can also help with the additional challenges their loved ones face when struggling with a mental health issue, a physical health issue, or any other special challenge.
Run by Canterbury Christ Church University, this 2 day training programme is based on an emotion-processing, skills-based approach that gives parents simple, practical tools that they can implement immediately in their family. No previous therapy experience is necessary.
Dr. Joanne Dolhanty, PhD, C.Psych, is a supervising and consulting clinical psychologist and the developer of EFST. She is known for her lively, warm, and engaging teaching style
