More ideas of things to do in Tunbridge Wells this weekend

♥ It’s Mini CrowFest on 13 July from 1-9pm at Goldsmiths Recreation Ground. There will be live music, traditional fair activities and eco hub, art gallery and children’s area. This sounds like big fun.
♥ If the weather is kind, what about a trip to a lido. While unfortunately we don’t have a lido in Tunbridge Wells, the Saltdean Lido near Brighton gets rave reviews and has just had a big face lift. The 40m heated pool is accompanied by a grass lawn that’s perfect for picnics and sunbathing. There’s also a children’s splash pool that has fountains and has a dedicated lifeguard. Kids under two swim free, and you can book morning or afternoon slots – or all day.
♥ Head to Chiddingstone Castle for the Circus of Curiosities on 14 July. There will be circus school alongside circus demonstrations, an interactive puppet theatre and more. You need to book a ticket for this event.
♥ Head to The Grove and make use of the long, flat path for a good scoot – it’s a great place to learn how to ride a bike in Tunbridge Wells. There’s also a little play park there. While you’re there you could get fish and chips to eat on the grass from the chip shop in The Village, and a takeaway drink from The Compasses. Or pop to Gail’s, Good & Green or Juliet’s on the High Street for a takeaway coffee. Our guide to the best playgrounds in Tunbridge Wells has further ideas!
♥ Crowborough tennis club are launching their new pickleball facilities on Sunday 14 July at 11am. They’re celebrating with an open day with demonstrations and discounted membership. This event is open to everyone.
♥ If you’re single and over 40, The Gun Taproom are hosting a Pizza & Pint night on 14 July in association with Genuine Connections. This is a stunning setting to have as the backdrop to the start of your next romantic chapter!

♥ Strap on a helmet and go for a bike ride along the seafront at Bexhill. It’s nice and flat for bike rides and scoots, and parking is easy. Check out the rest of our guide to the best bike rides near Tunbridge Wells.
♥ Preloved Kilo are hosting an affordable kilo sale at The Camden Centre on 13 July from 10am-5pm. Bags are just £20 a pop and items from £1. You need to book tickets in advance for admittance to this.
♥ Head to Castle Farm to gasp at the carpets of lavender before they’re harvested. Although picnics and tours have to be prebooked and dates are sporadically released, you can still visit the farm shop without booking.
♥ Got your own paddleboard or kayak? Strap on a lifejacket and go for a paddle at Tonbridge. You can easily access the river from the swimming pool car park (remember to pay for parking), pump up your board or boat and away you go!
